With an iPhone, we can make use of the native Shortcuts app to create a quick and seamless way to verify tweets. Please follow the steps below to set this up.

  • Open the Shortcuts app on your iPhone.

  • Tap the β€œ+” icon in the top right corner to create a new shortcut.

  • Tap β€œAdd Action.”

  • Add another action: Search for and select β€œText” and input this link:

tg://resolve?domain=AthenaSecureBot&text=/verifytwt%20
  • At the end of the link, click "Select Variable" and select "Shortcut Input" which is displayed above the Text block. Your final link should look like this:

  • Next, add the action "Open URLs".

  • Find the shortcut you just created (e.g., "AthenaSecure").

  • Tap the three dots (β€’β€’β€’) on the shortcut to edit it.

  • Tap the β€œi” icon (an i inside a circle) at the bottom of the screen.

  • Toggle on β€œShow in Share Sheet.”

You should now be able to use the tweet verification seamlessly. Below is a demo video of how it works when set up correctly.

The first account, athenas_foo is an impersonation account and the bot returns no match. The second account is the official account stored in the AthenaSecure database, and returns a verified message.
